Glue completed windlass in place on deck.
Divide anchor chain 198 in half and place over gypsies.
Make up simple chain stoppers from 1 mm brass wire and slide into chain links.
Tip:
Brass chains can achieve a more realistic apperance by black-finishing.

Glue together parts 201 to form handle of coal shovel. Secure with
clamps until dry, then carefully sand edges with fine sandpaper.
Bend photo etched shovel 202 along etched lines to form the shovel.
Glue handle in place.
Photo etched coal hole covers 200 are 0.5 mm thick and fit perfectly into
coal holes. To seal coal holes watertight, glue rings 199 (1 mm birch ply) into
openings, then glue covers in place.
Tip:
Coal hole covers can be black-finished or painted the same colour as
the deck. It is also possible, to arrange small pieces of coal (available as
model railroad accessories) around open covers or to soil the deck with coal.
To achieve this, glue a piece of plywood underneath opening and glue coal
pieces on top or arrange coal on deck around opening.
