The doors sit atop in the side panels of the superstructure. They can be simply
glued in place or made functional.
For each door hinge cut to length 2 pieces 114 (1.5 mm brass tube, 4 mm
long) and 1 pin 115 (1 mm brass rod, 8 mm long). Smooth ends of parts with
a small flat file.
Glue pin into one tube, flush with one end of tube. Then assemble hinge and
glue to door.
For functional hinges, glue one half of the hinge to the door, the other half to
the superstructure. Use CA glue and a fine glue tip for this step. Before you
glue in place second hinge half, apply a little oil or grease to hinge pin and
protect opposite hinge component with cling film or similar.
Remove protective film from window panes 116 and
from the inside install panes in wheelhouse frames. If
required, secure panes with small drops of glue.
Attention:
Use glue that is suitable for clear
plastic parts. Conventional CA glues damage clear
plastic parts.
