Total Access 600 Series System Manual

Under the

ILES

menu option, the user may erase log files, define Red events, set priorities, and

clear Red events. The

RASE

ILES

option erases the specified text log file.

•

EFINE

VENTS

allows the user to predefine a message priority condition so that if the condition

occurs, the file is highlighted in red. In the figure below, any

RITICAL

AJOR

condition causes

any

OCAL

through

OCAL

facility to become highlighted in red if it receives a critical or major

alarm.

The

ROPERTIES

menu allows the user to specify the types of messages to be logged to an ASCII text

file. Mark the lowest priority Syslog message you want to log to the Syslog server text file. For example,
the figure below shows that all messages will be logged to the text file.
