Total Access 600 Series System Manual

1. Connect to the Total Access 6XX using the

10/100BASET

interface.

If you are not already connected to the unit’s

ETHERNET

port using Telnet client software, use the

procedure in DLP-5,

Connecting to the Unit Using Telnet

, to connect to the unit.

2. Log in to the unit using the read-write password (see DLP-2,

Logging in to the System

for details).

3. Verify the TFTP server is running on the network.

The user may ping the TFTP server from the Total

Access 6XX to verify communication.

4. Download the firmware upgrade file to your computer.

5. Go to the

YSTEM

TILITY

menu and select the

PDATE

IRMWARE

menu; press

<Enter>

6. Go to the

RANSFER

ETHOD

menu and select

TFTP

7. Set the

TFTP S

ERVER

DDRESS

to the IP address of the machine running the TFTP server program.

8. Enter the filename of the update file into the

TFTP S

ERVER

ILENAME

field. If the file is located in a

directory other than

ADTNUTIL

, the entire path and filename are required.

Perform the steps below in the order listed.

A TFTP server ships as part of the ADTRAN Utilities. If using ADTRAN Utilities, choose

If using ADTRAN Utilities, save the upgrade file to the “
