Delta Trigger
An event is detected when the difference between delta 1 and delta 2 exceeds the set DELTA (threshold
value).
Figure 5-5 Delta Trigger
The SLOPE setting can detect the polarity of a change that is positive (POSI), absolute (BOTH), or nega-
tive (NEGA).
The PATRN setting can detect either divergence (EMISS) or convergence (CONV).
DELTA, SLOPE, and PATRN can be set in ‘DELTA’, ‘SLOPE’, and ‘PATRN’ in the
category
in .
The trigger is detected when the width of the change between the measurement values exceeds the set
threshold value (DELTA).
One of the six detection patterns is selected by setting SLOPE and PATRN and the detection level is set in
DELTA. The direction of the change is selected by setting PATRN.
Select one of the following in ‘PATRN’ in
in
.
EMISS
The trigger is detected when the width of the change becomes larger than DELTA.
CONV
The trigger is detected when the width of the change becomes smaller than DELTA.
The polarity of the change is selected by setting SLOPE.
Select SLOPE from the positive (POSI), absolute (BOTH), and negative (NEGA) polarities in ‘SLOPE’

.
The DELTA value is set by entering the display count up to the maximum number of display digits in the
fixed measurement range.
Set the DELTA value according to the following displayed number even if the displayed number becomes
smaller than the maximum number of display digits because the measurement function, sampling rate, or
