Pump design for IPX7 regarding protection against the effects of
temporary immersion in water. According to IEC 60529, ingress
of water in quantities causing harmful effects is not possible when
the device is temporarily immersed in water under standardized
conditions (up to 30 minutes and until 1 meter under the water
surface). Please refer to section 9.3 “Your insulin pump and water”
for further information.

The time and date as well as the remaining cartridge content are
safely stored in the memory for about 1 hour after the PowerPack
has been removed or depleted. Your insulin pump configuration and
settings (basal rate, active profile, automatic off, etc.) and the event
memory (bolus history, history of daily totals, history of alerts and
errors) remain, irrespective of the PowerPack voltage and the time
your insulin pump has been without a PowerPack.

10.7 Disposal
Your insulin pump
When the remaining time of use has reached zero, an “Error E5: End of Use Time”
occurs and your insulin pump will go into
STOP
. Please return your Accu-Chek
D-TRONplus insulin pump to your Accu-Chek customer service center for insulin
pumps for professional disposal.
PowerPack
Please dispose depleted PowerPacks at the nearest battery disposal center.
Cartridge, infusion set and adapter
These can be disposed with domestic refuse. To prevent injury to other people, insert
the needle of the infusion set into a disposable object, or put it into a sharps con-
tainer.
