The time remaining (in days) until the occurrence of the “Error E5: End of Use Time”
for t1 or t2 respectively can be reviewed in the SETUP menu at any time.
Please refer to sections 7.1.5 “Alert A5: End of Use Time Alert” and 7.2.5 “Error E5:
End of Use Time” for further information.
To review the time remaining
1. Make sure your insulin pump is in
RUN
and the KeyLock is
deactivated or the keys are unlocked.
2. Press
d
9 times to select the SETUP menu.
3. Confirm with
f
.
4. Press
d
6 times to review the time remaining for timer t1.
5. Press
d
once again to review the time remaining for timer t2.
The KeyLock symbol disappears and you may operate your in-
sulin pump as usual.
If your insulin pump is in
STOP
or
RUN
and no further key is
pressed, your insulin pump automatically locks the keys after
10 seconds (KeyLock timeout) and beeps**, depending on
the operating status, once or three times.
6.9 Review the time remaining
Your Accu-Chek D-TRONplus insulin pump is equipped with two timers.
The first timer (t1) is activated within the standard configuration of your insulin
pump. It counts the days which remain until the End of Use Time. If 56 days* remain
before the End of Use Time, your insulin pump indicates this with an “Alert A5: End of
Use Time Alert”. The t1 symbol remains on the display as a reminder. This ensures that
you have enough time to plan the continuation of your insulin pump therapy. When
the remaining time of timer t1 reaches zero, an “Error E5: End of Use Time” occurs
and your insulin pump goes into
STOP
. It can no longer be put into
RUN
.
The second timer (t2) is not activated within the standard configuration of your in-
sulin pump.
It is a reserve timer which can be activated by your Accu-Chek customer service
center for insulin pumps or your health care team using the Accu-Chek DiaLog PRO
Pump Programming tool. This timer is generally used to restrict the service life of a
loaner or trial Accu-Chek D-TRONplus. When activated, the programmed parameters
lead to an “Alert A5: End of Use Time Alert” for t2 and an “Error E5: End of Use Time”
for t2.
