before beginning a major cutting
operation. First-time users should
practice cutting logs on a sawhorse or
cradle before undertaking other
operations.
4. Do not attempt to cut limbs with
diameters larger than max. 180 mm.
Preparing The Work Area
1. Clear the area of children,
bystanders and pets; keep them
outside a 50-foot (15 m) radius, at a
minimum. Even then, they are still at
risk from thrown objects. Encourage
bystanders to wear eye protection. If
you are approached, stop the unit
immediately. When bucking, keep
workers at least 15 feet (4.6 m) apart.
2. Keep the work area clean. Cluttered
areas invite injuries. Do not start
cutting until the work area is clear and
free from obstructions. Make sure
there is secure footing and a planned
retreat path from falling trees or
branches.
3. Do not cut near electrical cables or
power lines. Keep at least 50 feet (15
m) away from all power lines.
4. Use the unit only in daylight or good
artificial light.
5. Do not use the product at night,
when foggy or with reduced visibility
that does not allow you to see all the
working area clearly.
6. Be extremely careful when using the
product after it has been raining as the
floor could be slippery and you could
slip.
7. Lack of rest and fatigue can cause
accidents and damages.
8. Limit the usage of this product to
stints no longer than 10 minutes and
rest between 10 and 20 minutes
before using again.
Do not approach the product
when the motor is running.
9. Do not solely rely on the safe
features of this product.
10. Turn off the engine when moving
between work areas.
11. Do not use other accessories this
product except those recommended
by our company since its use could
cause severe damage to the user,
people close to the product and the
product itself.
12. Verify the state of the tree before
cutting to ensure that dry branches
will not fall off on top of you while
cutting.
13. When cutting, ensure that the tip
of the bar does not come into contact
with any trunks or other obstacles.
14. Never let the product drop and
never try to stop the chain by closing
in on a piece of wood or any other
object.
