Guide Bar and Saw Chain
WARNING:
The saw chain is
very sharp. Always wear heavy-duty
protective gloves when handling or
performing maintenance on the saw
chain.
The guide bar and saw chain need to be
removed when certain maintenance
procedures are performed, such as
when rotating the guide bar. When
replacing old guide bars and saw chains
with new parts.
ATTENTION
! Never touch,
adjust or file the chain with the engine
running. Disconnect the product
before operating the chain.
WARNING:
Never start the
product before installing the chain, bar
and chain cover screw.
Without these pieces properly installed,
there is risk of personal damages.
1.
Use only the guide bar and saw
chain according to the technical data
of the product.
WARNING:
Always use a
saw chain designed as “low-kickback”
or a saw chain which meets the
low-kickback requirements! A
standard saw chain (a chain which
does not have the kickback reducing
guard links) should only be used by
an experienced professional operator!
Nevertheless, a low-kickback saw
chain does not completely eliminated
kickback! A low-kickback or “safety”
chain should never be regarded as
complete protection against injury!
The guide bar and chain can only be
adjusted, with the engine stopped.
