13. Never cut in areas where the cutting

attachment is out of sight.

14. Never operate the product with

damaged guards or without the guards
in place.

15. Before using the product and after

dropping or other impacts, check for
signs of wear or damage and repair as
necessary.

16. Remove all other hand tools from the

product or its surroundings before
starting the product. A lose hand tool
left near the product can be touched
by the product whilst working and
project it, causing personal damage.

17. Maintain yourself well clear of

moving parts and especially the chain
when the chainsaw is working. Before
starting the product, make sure that
this are not in contact with any object.

18. Verify the state of the tree prior to

cutting to ensure that dry branches will
not fall off on top of you whilst cutting.

small and young trees. Slim material
can be easily caught up in the chain
and can be projected towards you and
can cause the loss of balance and
control over the product.

that splits easily. Wood splinters could
be propelled in any direction. Risk of
corporal damage therefore exists.

cutting trunks on top of a log holder.

22. Hold the front handle with the

product disconnected and at a safe
distance from other body parts. When
transporting or storing the product,
always cover the blade and chain with

a cover. An appropriate use of the
product will reduce the risk of contact
with the chain in motion.

23. Do not attempt to remove cut

material from the work area or the
cutting device when it is in motion. Be
sure the product is off when you
perform cleaning debris.

24. Do not handle the product by the

cutting device. The cutting device has
sharp edges that can hurt yourself.

25. If the cutting mechanism strikes any

foreign object or the product starts
making any unusual noise or vibration,
shut off the power source and allow
the product to stop. Take the following
steps:

- Inspect for damage.
