INTENED USE
1. The product is intended for cutting
limbs with a thickness of max. 178 mm.
The product may only be used with the
guide bar/saw chain combination
stated in these instructions. It is not
permitted to use other types or sizes.
2. The product must not be used for
cutting other materials, such as plastic,
stone, metal or wood that contains
foreign objects and must not be used
outside of domestic premises.
3. The maximum cutting capacity
178mm (7 inch) according to the
application. Do not cut plants
exceeding the stated maximum
capacity.
4. This product is intended for private
domestic use only, not for any
commercial trade use. It must not be
used for any purposes other than
those described.
ESSENTIAL TERMS AND
DEFINITIONS
CHAIN SAW - A tool designed to cut
wood with a saw chain. A chain saw is
an integrated unit comprised of a motor,
saw chain, guide bar, and handles that
are designed to be held by two hands
during operation.
CHAINSAW POWERHEAD - A chain saw
without the saw chain and guide bar.
DRIVE SPROCKET - A toothed wheel that
drives the saw chain.
REAR HANDLE - A support handle located
toward the rear of the chain saw.
GUIDE BAR - A solid railed structure that
supports and guides the saw chain.
GUIDE BAR TIP - The tip or end of the
guide bar.
REDUCED-KICKBACK GUIDE BAR - A
guide bar that has been demonstrated
to reduce kickback significantly.
LOW-KICKBACK SAW CHAIN - A saw
chain that complies with the kickback
performance requirements of ANSI/OPEI
B175.1-2012 when tested on a
representative sample of chain saws.
Low-kickback saw chain significantly
reduces the chance of kickback and the
intensity of kickback, due to specially
designed depth gauges and guard links.
SPIKED BUMPER - The pointed tooth
(or teeth), at the front of the chain saw,
used during felling and bucking to help
pivot the saw and maintain a stable
position while cutting.
TRIGGER SWITCH - A device that, when
operated in conjunction with the
trigger, turns the motor on. Releasing
the trigger immediately turns the
