Drive - 60

RT40 Operator’s Manual

Drive

CMW

Drive

Turn on lights as needed.

Raise backfill blade and all attachments.

Release parking brake.

Adjust throttle.

Move ground drive control to forward or reverse or press upper or lower part of foot pedal.

Shut Down

When job is complete, move ground drive control to neutral.

Engage parking brake.

Lower all attachments to ground.

Move throttle to idle for 3 minutes to cool.

Turn ignition switch to STOP. If leaving machine unattended, remove key.

For maintenance or long-term storage, turn battery disconnect switch, if equipped, to the disconnect
position.

EMERGENCY SHUTDOWN

: Turn ignition switch to STOP.

Moving traffic – hazardous situation. Death or serious injury could result.

Avoid moving vehicles, wear high visibility clothing, post appropriate warning signs.

NOTICE:

•

Drive carefully in congested areas. Know machine’s clearance and turning radius.

•

Keep attachments low when operating on slope. Drive slowly and cautiously.

IMPORTANT:

Speed and direction are controlled by both the speed/direction control hand lever and the

foot pedal. Be careful when operating tractor that both controls are not used at the same time. If controls
are moved in opposite directions at the same time, tractor will not move.
