The suggested actions for each symptom listed below should be
performed in the order in which they are listed.

See Table 39, “NBX 100 Status Lights,” on page 157 on page 157 for
about the indicator lights on the front of the NBX 100 Network Call
Processor, 4-Port Line Card, Digital Line Card, 8-Port Hub Card, 4-Port
ATA and Single-Port ATA.

Table 41 lists troubleshooting procedures.

CAUTION:

Always shut down the NBX 100 software and then turn off

the power to the chassis by removing the chassis power cord before
removing a component.

Symptom

Circuit breaker

Check the circuit breaker. Ideally, the NBX
100 should be on its own breaker-
protected circuit. Each chassis can draw up
to 4 amps.

No power to the
NBX 100 (cont.)

Electrical outlet

If the circuit breaker is not tripped, make
sure that there is power present at the
outlet. Check that the outlet is not
controlled by a wall switch.

WARNING:

If the outlet faceplate shows

any blackening or discoloration it could
indicate a short. Call an electrician.
