Unpacking and
Examining the
Components

Unpack the NBX 100 and examine the components. Depending on the
size and configuration of the system, there might multiple chassis, hub
cards, and line cards. There should be only one Network Call Processor
(NCP) per system.

Recording MAC
Addresses

After you unpack the NBX 100 hardware, record the Media Access
Control (MAC) numbers of these components:

■

4-Port Line cards

■

4-Port Analog Terminal Adapter (ATA) cards

■

Digital Line cards

The MAC addresses are printed on labels attached to each card. These
addresses enable you to identify a card when you configure it using the
NetSet administration utility.
