Initial System

Configuration

Perform the following steps to use Auto Discovery for initial system
configuration.

Open NetSet using the administrator username and password.

On the main menu, click the

System Configuration

icon.

On the System Settings tab on System Configuration window, click

System-wide

. The System Settings window appears.

Select the appropriate

Auto Discover

check boxes for

Line Cards

and

Telephones

Do not enable Auto Discover for DSS/BLF adjuncts or T1 Devices (Digital
Line cards). Auto Discover all the other devices first.

Click

Apply

It takes a few moments for Auto Discovery and the software download
process to complete. If you have connected many new devices to the
system at the same time, the control processor initializes devices one at a
time.

You can now configure the 4-Port Line Card ports, described in the next
section.
