Dual-Input

Configuration

SW/3000 software version 6.1 and later allows the use of both input control
signals, enabling input DTR detection (for modem hangup) to be used at
the same time as input RTS detection (for hardware flow control). This
dual-input configuration is described in “Software Version 6.1 and Later”.

Use of both input control lines requires the use of specially wired adapters.
Table A-12 shows part numbers for MOD-TAP adapters prewired for this
purpose. Table A-13 and Table A-14 show pin assignments for these
adapters. Behavior of the control output (RJ-12 pin 1) is determined by the
-TERM FlowCtrlFrom and UseDCDout software parameters, while
interpretation of the control inputs (RJ-12 pins 3 and 6) is determined by
FlowCtrlTo and UseDTRin.
