NSTALLATION
This chapter describes how to install your CS/3000 series server. Table 2-1
summarizes the steps in the order in which they should be performed and
indicates whether each step is mandatory or optional.
Preparation
Do the following before beginning the installation:

Remove the communications server, any uninstalled 16-port asynchronous
modules, the Ethernet interface module, and the power cable from their
shipping cartons.
To avoid electrostatic discharge (ESD) related damage, keep the 16-port
asynchronous and Ethernet interface modules in their antistatic shielded
bags until you are ready to install them.
Refer to step 7 for additional ESD guidelines.
