CUSTOM CALL SETUP
Enter a zero (0) at the top menu prompt in order to open the submenu for creating custom call
paging sequences within the encoder. The opening menu for format selection will look like
the following.

Enter a “1” at the prompt in order to start the custom calls question loop. The first question in
the loop prompts you to assign a unique 3-digit number to the custom call (valid range is 000
to 195). This is the number used to identify the page when manually sending it, or when
assigning it to an instant call button.

The next prompt displayed prompts you specify which channel select relays are to be
activated when a page is made with this custom call.

The encoder expects a 3-digit response for this question. Please see “Question 1 - Channel
Select Relays” on page 72 for a complete explanation on how you come up with this number.
The next prompt asks for the frequency of the first tone sent in the custom call.
FIRST TONE FREQUENCY (X 0.1 HZ)

The encoder requires a 5-digit response to this question (02500 to 32767, or 00000). The
range is 250.0 Hz to 3276.7 Hz in increments of 0.1 Hz. Entering all zeros generates no tone.
The next prompt asks for the duration of the first tone.
