Question 1 - Channel Select Relays
After entering a single digit (1 through 4) in response to Question “A_”, the following
prompt will appear. You will now assign control relays to be activated when the selected
SEND
button is used. This question works the same way for the
SEND
buttons as it does for
most paging formats. Please see “Question 1 - Channel Select Relays” on page 72 for a
description.
Question 2 - Busy Input Polarity
At the following prompt, the encoder expects a single-digit response (0 or 1) to indicate the
“Busy” polarity for the busy input associated with the Send button being programmed. The
default setting is “0”.
The two choices are: 0 = Input is BUSY when pulled LOW
1
=
Input
is
BUSY when pulled HIGH
The LED associated with each Send button will be lit whenever the busy input is in the
“busy” condition. For more information on the busy input circuit, see Figure 7 on page 35.
Question 3 -
At the following prompt, the encoder expects a single-digit response (0 or 1) to indicate
whether the encoder should observe or ignore the condition of the channel busy input
whenever the Send button is pressed. The default setting is “0”.
The two choices are: 0 = Ignore the condition of the Channel Busy Input
1
=
Monitor
the
condition
of the Channel Busy Input
Once the single-digit response for “Question 3” has been entered, the Model 25 will
immediately begin to load all changes made in this section to memory to be used until new
changes are made. During the time that the Model 25 is loading this information to memory,
the display will appear as shown here.
