Tail Assembly
CAUTION:
Always perform the High Voltage
Discharging procedure prior to servicing any
High Voltage component or connection. Proper
procedures must be followed! To protect
electrical components, perform the following
tasks in the order given. Do not deviate from the
repair procedure processes.
NOTICE:
Before carrying out any work on the
electrical system, remove the key from the key
switch.
Removal
2. Remove 12 Volt Battery. See
3. Remove T30 bolts (x2) securing tank unit to
bike frame. Torque 2.5 lb-ft (3.5 Nm).
4. Move tank unit to right side of bike.
5. Disconnect charge inlet harness connector.
6. Disconnect battery signal harness connector.
7. Remove T30 bolts (x4) securing charging
plug. Torque 8 lb-ft (11 Nm).
8. Remove charge inlet bracket.
9. Disconnect DC-DC converter.
10. Remove T30 bolt securing ground straps (x3).
Torque 5 lb-ft (6.5 Nm).
NOTE: Stack crimp side up for best contact.
