Routing the cables and making the electrical connections
• Route the power and data cables parallel to each other.
• Run the cables through the existing cable holders down to the stand base.
• Make sure that the cable loops (1) are large enough to allow the devices
to be positioned freely without cables or connectors being damaged. This
applies in particular to the area of the joints of the flat screen monitor
bracket.
• Route the cables in a bundle along the column down to the stand base.
• Fix the cables to the column of the floor stand using cable ties.
– To ensure optimum performance, we recommend having the electrical in-
stallation performed by the ZEISS Service or a professional electrician (in-
house electrician).
• Place cable cover (2) over the cables on the column.
• Only connect the power cord to wall outlets which are equipped with a
properly connected protective earth conductor.
CAUTION Risk of patient injury caused by electrical voltage!
• Do not touch the power outlet socket or other signal interfaces while in
contact with the patient.
