Calibration Image:
The Calibration image is used for the balancing
procedure of the printer. To create the image, simply click on this icon and
the Chromira will automatically size the image to the paper and print it on
the paper already loaded on the machine.
Before you start the Test Print, it is important that you select and setup the proper
Emulsion file for the photographic material you intend to calibrate. This can be
done from the Emulsion dialog box in the Chromira Printer program.
These Test Prints are placed in the print queue just like all other Chromira print jobs;
they will show up in the Chromira Workstation program's queue view. The Test Print
is simply a job that prints the "Test Image.TIF" file located in the "C:\Chromira Printer"
folder on the Chromira's computer. This Test Print job is setup automatically by the
Chromira Printer program - it is recommended that you do not change any of the
job settings (using Chromira Workstation).
Judging the Test Print
When you retrieve the Test Print from the processor, you will need to determine
whether it needs to be run through the Scanner Analysis or the Densitometer
Analysis. This decision is usually quite simple:
> Test Print is not the correct color: Run a Densitometer Cycle
> Test Print has lines in it: Run a Scanner Analysis Cycle
