3.3 Turning the Power ON/OFF
Preparing to Turn ON the Power
The AQ6380 has a MAIN POWER switch for turning the main power ON/OFF, and a POWER
switch for starting and shutting down the instrument. The POWER switch is a push-button switch;
press once to turn it ON and press again to turn it OFF.
• Confirm that the MAIN POWER switch on the rear panel of the instrument is OFF.
• Connect the power cord plug to the power connector on the rear panel.
• Connect the other end of the cord to an outlet that meets the following conditions. Use a
grounded three-prong outlet.

* This instrument can use a 100 V or a 200 V power supply. The maximum rated voltage differs according
to the type of power cord. Check that the voltage supplied to the instrument is less than or equal to the
maximum rated voltage of the power cord that you will be using before use.
Turn ON the Power
CAUTION
Do not input a strong light source to the instrument when turning the power ON. If a strong
light source is input, the optical section can be damaged.
