8.2 Connecting the Serial (RS-232) Interface Cable
When connecting this instrument to a PC, make sure the handshaking methods, data
transmission rates, and data formats match those selected on the PC.
For details, see the following pages. Also, make sure to use interface cables that match
the specifications of the instrument.

2 RD (Received Data):
Data received from the PC.
Signal direction: Input
3 SD (Send Data):
Data transmitted to the PC.
Signal direction: Output
5 SG (Signal Ground):
Ground for signals.
7 RS (Request to Send): Signal used for handshaking when receiving data from the PC.
Signal direction: Output
8 CS (Clear to Send):
Signal used for handshaking when transmitting data to the PC.
Signal direction: Input
* Pins 1, 4, 6, and 9 are not used.
