This is a Class A product. In a domestic environment this product
may cause radio interference in which case the user may be
required to take adequate measures.
Cable condition
• Measurement input terminal
Use a shielded cable for connection.
Use a cable of length 1 m or less.
For measurements in the 10-M
Ω
and 100-M
Ω
ranges, shield the
resistor under measurement to the guard potential.
*3
• TRIGGER IN terminal
For connection, use a BNC cable that is better than or equivalent
to the 1.5D-QEW BNC cable.
*4
• HANDLER connector
Use a shielded cable for connection.
*5
• SERIAL (RS-232) connector
Use an RS-232 shielded cable for connection.
*5
• PRINTER connector
Use a shielded cable for connection.

*6
• Immunity influence
Within the measured value
±
20% of range
• Test condition
100-M
Ω
range, resistance under measurement: 100 M
Ω
,
measurement time: HIGH SPEED, trigger mode: EXTERNAL,
contact check: bEF (before measurement)
(The test was performed under the same cable condition as
specified for emission.)
*1 Overvoltage Categories define transient overvoltage levels, including impulse withstand voltage levels.
Overvoltage Category
I
: Applies to equipment supplied with electricity from a circuit containing an overvoltage control
device.
Overvoltage Category
II
: Applies to equipment supplied with electricity from fixed installations like a distribution board.
*2 Pollution Degree : Applies to the degree of adhesion of a solid, liquid, or gas which deteriorates withstand voltage or
surface resistivity.
Pollution Degree 1: Applies to closed atmospheres (with no, or only dry, non-conductive pollution).
Pollution Degree 2: Applies to normal indoor atmospheres (with only non-conductive pollution).
*3 “Guard potential” refers to the electrical potential of the conductor on the outside of the BNC connector of the
measurement input terminal.
*4 Use a cable of length 2 m or less.
*5 Use a cable of length 3 m or less.
*6 Immunity test requirements for equipment intended for use in industrial locations.
*7 The measurement category of this instrument signal input terminals is Other (O). Do not use it to measure the main power
supply or for Measurement Categories II, III, and IV.
Measurement category Other (O) applies to measurement of circuits that are not directly connected to a main power
supply. This category applies to measurement of secondary electric circuits in equipment across a transformer. The
estimated transient overvoltage that may be applied to the this instrument signal input terminals is 1500 V.
Measurement category II applies to measurement of circuits, such as household electric appliances and portable electric
tools, that are connected to low-voltage installations.
Measurement category III applies to measurement of facility circuits, such as distribution boards and circuit breakers.
Measurement category IV applies to measurement of power source circuits, such as entrance cables to buildings and
cable systems, for low-voltage installations.
