Removing the Fuel Filter and Fuel
Hoses
1. Remove the fuel feed pump hose
(Figure 5-3, (3))
, fuel pump hose
(Figure 5-3, (4))
and the fuel nozzle
hose
(Figure 5-3, (1))
.
2. Remove the fuel filter from the engine.

Removing the Air Silencer
1. Remove the breather hose
(Figure 5-4, (3))
from the air silencer
(Figure 5-4, (2))

2. Remove the air silencer from the turbocharger
(Figure 5-4, (5))

Removing the Mixing Elbow
1. Remove the seawater hose connected to the
mixing elbow
(Figure 5-4, (4))
.
2. Remove the mixing elbow from the
turbocharger.
Removing the Turbocharger
1. Remove the intake pipe (turbine-intake
manifold).
2. Remove the turbine oil return line from the oil
pan side of the engine that goes to the oil pan.
3. Remove the turbine oil line (oil cooler-turbine).
4. Remove the turbine.
Removing the Coolant Hoses
1. Remove the seawater hose between the
seawater pump and heat exchanger.
2. Remove the coolant hose between the coolant
pump, the heat exchanger and the exhaust
manifold.
3. Remove the coolant hose between the oil
cooler and coolant pump.
Removing the Intercooler
1. Remove the intake air hose.
2. Remove the seawater hoses.
• Heat Exchanger
• Intercooler

• Oil Cooler

3. Remove the intercooler.
