1. Set the QSTS grip to the neutral position.
2. Remove the service lid.

4. Disconnect the steering cable joint

the ball joint

5. Turn the steering cable joint

in or out to

adjust the distances

WARNING

The steering cable joint must be screwed in
more than 8 mm (0.31 in)

6. Connect the steering cable joint

then tighten the locknut

to the specified

torque.

7. Check the jet thrust nozzle angle differ-

ence of distances

and

again.

8. If the steering cable cannot be properly

adjusted using the cable joint at the steer-
ing master end, adjust the cable joint at
the jet pump end so that the difference of
distances
