Chapter 4. Using NFP Storage Manager 1.1
Local Accounts
System administrator can setup accounts for Windows, Apple and
Novell users on
NP1040
NAS server (the local machine). When these
clients attempt to access
NP1040
NAS server, they only need to enter
their account name and password to gain access.
System administrator can add, modify and delete user accounts.
The name of an account cannot exceed 15 characters. The name
can be formed by double-byte character languages same as the
NFP
Storage Manager
language, such as Traditional Chinese, Simplified
Chinese, Japanese or Korean, etc., single-byte languages such as
English, German, Spanish, etc., numbers, decimal point, “underscore”,
and “minus sign”. The first character however cannot be “minus
sign”. The name is not case sensitive.
Please note:
When naming an account using a language other than English, please
input the same language as the
NFP Storage Manager
interface to
ensure correct coding. Thus, when
NFP Storage Manager
language is Japanese, account names can only be both Japanese
and English. Similarly, if
NFP Storage Manager
language is
