Adjusting the Color Balance
If you have a color original, you can adjust the balance between the primary printing colors (cyan,
magenta, yellow and black).
To adjust the color balance:
1. Touch
Copy
on the touch screen, then touch the
Image Quality
tab.
2. Touch
Color Balance
.
3. To adjust the highlight, midtone, and shadow density levels by color:
a. Touch the desired color.
b. Touch the up or down arrows to adjust the levels for highlights, midtones, and shadows.
c. Repeat steps 3a and 3b for each color.
4. Touch
Save
.
Adjusting the Color Shift
If you have a color original, you can adjust the hue of the copy colors.
To adjust the color balance:
1. Touch
Copy
on the touch screen, then touch the
Image Quality
tab.
2. Touch
Color Shift
. The Original Color bar represents the colors of the original document. The Copy
Color bar represents the copy colors.
3. Touch one of the five buttons from
Minus
to
Plus
to select the desired color shift.
4. Touch
Save
.
Note:
This feature is only available when the output color is set to
Auto Detect
or
Color
.
Selecting the Gloss Level
The gloss level can be enhanced to create glossier copies.
To adjust the gloss level:
1. Touch
Copy
on the touch screen, then touch the
Image Quality
tab.
2. Touch
Gloss Level
.
3. Touch
Normal
for normal gloss or
Enhanced
for glossier copies.
4. Touch
Save
.
