THE XEROX WORKCENTRE CONTROL PROGRAM

Xerox WorkCentre 490cx Control Program Window

When the Xerox WorkCentre 490cx Control Program on LPT1 window 
opens, click the appropriate tab for the options you want to display. On the 
appropriate tab, specify your changes.

Using the Status Tab

This tab shows the printer status, ink levels, and print job status.

The Status tab includes these buttons:

Cancel Print

•

Pause

•

Print  Test  Page

The information area displays which job is printing, which page and copy, the 
time, and any alert messages.

Using the Options Tab

This tab allows you to specify the Control Program setup options, such as 
Running Minimized and Closing Status at End of Job.

Note:  
If a Xerox printer or another printer is connected to the same port on your 
computer through a switch box or other device, check Disable Xerox 
WC490cx DOS Printing and restart Windows before switching from one 
printer to the other.  Switching printers without selecting this option may 
cause printer errors.
