RECEPTION MODES
Adjusting Ringer Volume
The ringer volume can be adjusted according to a suitable level. The
selections are LOW, MED, or HIGH.
1. Press the Menu
button, then press the 0 + 4 buttons on the keypad.
Then press the Start
button. Ringer volume is the first item displayed.
Press the Start
button.
2. Use the Up
or Down
button to set the desired loudness.
3. Press the Clear/Stop
button twice to accept and exit.
Receiving Automatically in FAX Mode
1. Press the Receive Mode
button until the display indicates FAX.
2. When a fax call comes in, the machine answers on the designated ring
and receives the fax automatically.

Receiving Manually in TEL Mode
If you have a machine with a handset, or if you have an external phone
connected to the EXT jack on the left side of the machine, you can answer
voice phone calls and receive faxes manually.
1. Press the Receive Mode
button until the display indicates TEL.
2. Answer an incoming call by picking up the external phone.
3. If you hear a fax tone, or if the person calling asks you to receive a fax,
press the Start
button on the machine.
