5-1-5 Transportation of counterweight

tipping.
1. Transportation for a short distance within
job site
I t i s n o t n e c e s s a r y t o r e m o v e t h e
counterweights from the vehicle, but pay
attention to the following:
•
The ground is firm enough, and there is
no risk of sinking during traveling;
•
The ground is even, and the inclination of
3º is not exceeded;
•
The outrigger beams are fully extended
and the jacks are extended. The distance from
the outrigger float to the ground is 20 cm;
•
Retract the boom fully, position it over
rear of the vehicle and keep boom angle of
30
°
, and then insert the turntable lock pin;
•
Suspension system is in rigid locking
state;
•
Travel speed is not faster than 2 km/h;
•
The weight of counterweights taken on
board should not be more than 22 t.
2. Transportation for a long distance or
short distance on road
In this condition, counterweight slabs,
hook block, auxiliary winch system should be
removed to reduce weight for transportation, and
the turntable be secured by the turntable lock
pin. The counterweight should be transported
by a truck and it should be well secured during
transportation.
