4-6-3 Notes on operation
1. Observe the boom angle limit.
2. Move the elevating control lever slowly
when starting and stopping boom motions.
3. Before lowering boom for erecting jib
and re-reeving winch rope, extend outriggers
fully and attach at least 22 t of counterweight,
and then retract the boom fully. After operation
is finished, raise the boom and extend it to the
desired length.
4-6-2 Relationship among boom angle,
total rated load and working radius
Except under the working condition of
basic boom with outriggers extended fully,
even no load, the boom should not be lowered
excessively (boom angle is beyond the value
specified in the total rated lifting chart),
otherwise, tipping may occur.
When the boom is lowered, the working
radius increases and the value of the total rated
load decreases; when the boom is raised, the
working radius decreases and the value of the
total rated load increases.
