1.
Apply a thin film of a NLGI No. 2 grade lithium grease to the blade guide arm every fifty hours of operation to
help prevent it from rusting.
2.
Grease the clamp mechanism, loading arm, and side supports with a NLGI No. 2 grade lithium grease every
fifty hours of operation.
3.
Oil all chains with Dexron III ATF every fifty hours of operation.
CAUTION!
Do not use chain lube. It causes sawdust buildup in chain links.
4.
Check the mill alignment every setup. See Section 5, Alignment.
5.
Make sure all safety warning decals are readable. Remove sawdust and dirt. Replace any damaged or unread-
able decals immediately. Order decals from your Customer Service Representative.
6.
Lubricate the clutch lever bushings every 200 hours of operation (or once a month). Apply lithium grease to the
fitting.

Blade Tensioner
1.
Lubricate the chrome rods of the tensioner system with a heavy duty teflon spray lubricant, such as Gunk
L508, every fifty hours of operation.
2.
Lubricate the tensioner screw handle with a NLGI No. 2 grade lithium grease as needed.
See Figure 3-4.
3.
Add an Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) such as Dexron III ATF to the hydraulic blade tensioner as
needed.
