4. In time-shifting mode, you can:
• Cancel PIP mode ( Right click the viewing window and uncheck
Picture-in-Picture
in the shortcut menu.
• Swap PIP ( Right click the viewing window and click
Switch Screen
in the popup menu.
• Move the sub screen to a different location and resize it.
Note: Only the main screen will have audio in PIP mode.
5. To end time-shifting, click the
Time Shift
button.
Caution: Time-shifting recordings are not permanently saved. Temporary hard
disk space is continuously overwritten as time-shifting goes on. The longer the
interval between recording and playback, the more hard disk space required.
If the hard disk becomes full during time-shifting, the recording process will
be terminated.
Recording and Playing Back Live TV
Recording
Click the
Record
button at the right side of the WinFast TV Control Panel
to record the current live TV broadcast. The button turns red to indicate that
recording is in progress. To stop recording, click the same button again.
By default, the recording will be saved in C:\WinFast WorkArea folder as a
MPEG-2 file. The file name is automatically determined by the date of the
recording and other numbers determined by the system. To play back the file,
open the file as described later.
Caution: In general, the file size of a 1-minute recording is approximately 40MB
using the default quality settings. However, the complexity of the video can also
affect the file size. If hard disk space is used up during recording, an error
message will appear on the screen and the recording will be terminated thus
resulting in incomplete contents within the file.
