WinDVD: Playing DVD
WinDVD is a simple-to-use software DVD player combining all the features
of a standard consumer DVD player with some very advanced functionality
only possible with a software DVD player, such as time stretching, zooming,
panning, bookmarking and capturing screen images.
This section explains the functionality that WinDVD has to offer and provides
basic operating instructions. For advanced operations, refer to the WinDVD
online help file for detailed information.
Playing a DVD with a mouse and the WinDVD control panel
You can use WinDVD to play a DVD or an audio CD.
1. Click
Start > All Programs > InterVideo WinDVD > InterVideo WinDVD
to start the program.
2. a. If the DVD has been inserted before you start the program, playback
will start.
b. If inserting the DVD after the player has started, press the
Play
button at the left side of the Control Panel.
3. WinDVD will check the type of the disc and play accordingly.
4. By default, a DVD title is shown in full screen. You can double click on
the screen to change playback to a window mode. To control playback, use
the WinDVD Control Panel or shortcut (right click) menu.
