
Fast Backward/
Move forward or rewind video playback.
Fast Forward
Click once on the forward/backward button
and WinDVD will fast backward or forward
until you click
Play, Stop
or
Pause
. If you
click and hold the mouse button down,
WinDVD will fast backward or forward until
you release the mouse button. Clicking
on the arrow in between the forward/back-
ward button allows you to directly select
a speed.
Previous Chapter/
Moves to the previous or next chapter.
Next Chapter
Clicking on the arrow in between the
previous/next chapter button allows
you to directly select a chapter.
Menu
Displays the DVD menu where you can
specify the chapter, audio, subtitle and
angle, if available.
Eject
Ejects the drive tray.
Slider Button
Moves to a different location for playback.
Volume
Adjusts the playback volume.
Display Panel
Displays the current status such as disc
type, the current chapter and the elapsed
playback time.
Help
Opens the WinDVD online help.
Minimize
Minimizes WinDVD to the tool bar.
Full screen
Toggles between full screen display and
window display.
Close
Exits WinDVD.
Sub Panel
Opens Sub Panels for adjusting the
advanced options of the current disc.
(See “WinDVD Sub Panels” in this
section for more information.)
Table Note:
* Speed Increase, Speed Decrease and Time Clock buttons use a technique called “time-stretching”. With
time-stretching, WinDVD can play a video from approximately half speed to up to 2x normal speed. Within
this range, video and audio can be accelerated without any distortion. (Note that time-stretching does not
work with S/PDIF audio.)
