Setting up the System for Use
Selecting a Site
Select a site that has:
• a sturdy and level surface
• space for ventilation
• a grounded three-pronged electrical outlet nearby
• available modem or network cable connection (for connecting to Internet)
• available TV RF cable connection (for watching TV)
Caution:
Slots or openings on the system are for ventilation. Do not block
or cover the ventilation openings.
Making Connections
The wireless keyboard and mouse communicate with the FusionPC through a
RF (radio frequency) transceiver that is plugged into one of the available USB
ports. Each wireless component must be operated on its own frequency in order
to avoid RF interference (component failure due to competing signals on the
same channel). The transceiver supplied with the FusionPC supports two distinct
channels that are user selectable via switches located on front of the transceiver.
The factory defaults for FusionPC wireless input devices are set to channel 1 for
the keyboard and channel 2 for the mouse.
Note: The keyboard and mouse must be operated on separate channels to
ensure proper functionality. If both devices are set to the same channel you may
experience abnormal device behavior.
