BIOS Setup
BIOS Setup (SCU or Setup Configuration Utility) is a program for configuring
the BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) settings of the system. BIOS is a layer
of software, called firmware, that translates instructions from other layers of
software into instructions that the system hardware can understand.
Starting BIOS Setup
Note:
• The Setup screens shown in this manual are for your reference only. The
actual items or settings on your system may differ.
• The Setup program may have been updated after the publication of this
manual.
You need to run the BIOS Setup program when:
• You see an error message on the screen requesting you to run Setup.
• You want to set a password, change the video memory size, change the boot
sequence or enable hard disk boot sector protection.
To run BIOS Setup, press
F2
while the FusionPC logo appears on the display
during system boot. The logo shows up on the screen for only a few seconds.
You must press
F2
quickly. The BIOS Setup menu appears as shown next.
To move around and make selections, use the keyboard. Keyboard information
can be found at the bottom of the BIOS Setup screen.
