8. Cleaning instructions
Impurities can affect the quality of deposition (e.g. cau-
sing inclusions). For this reason, please clean the entire
electroplating cell thoroughly with distilled water after
each electroforming process. To do this, dismantle the
electroforming cell (consisting of glass beaker, seal, and
electroforming head). Wipe the head parts
from time to
time
with a damp cloth (do not rinse under running
water).
Wipe the unit
occasionally
with a damp cloth and dry.
The unit does not require any maintenance. If the unit
should break down in spite of the careful manufacturing
and inspection processes, any repairs must be undertaken
by Wieland Technik.
9. Safety instructions
When using any electrical appliance, please observe the
following basic safety measures in order to avoid any risk
of electric shock, injury and fire.
Please read and follow these instructions before using
the unit.
9.1. Keep your workplace tidy.
An untidy workplace can cause accidents.
9.2. Think about the surrounding conditions.
Do not use the unit in wet or humid conditions
and ensure good illumination. On no account
should liquids get inside the unit.
9.3. Keep out of reach of children.
Do not allow children to play with the unit,
the accessories or the mains cable.
9.4. Inspect the unit regularly for damage.
To guarantee that the unit works properly, all the
parts must be assembled correctly and all
conditions observed.
Check the safety devices carefully before use to
ensure they are working properly.
