3. Electroforming bars

The AGC conductive silver lacquer coating must be
allowed to dry for 10 minutes before deposition.
Otherwise residues of the organic bonding agent
could react with the AGC goldplating bath. It is
essential that the conductive surface be evenly dry
and therefore evenly conductive.
The conductive silver lacquer changes colour while dry-
ing. For comprehensive information on how to handle the
lacquer on different die materials, please see the separa-
te silver lacquer instructions.
3.4. Preparing the unit and starting up
3.4.1. Preparing the electroforming head
To prepare the AGC MicroVision unit for electrofor-
ming bars please see section 2.4.1, "Preparing the
electroforming head".
3.4.2. Assembling the electroforming head /
Programming the unit
The AGC bar fork can only be connected in positions
6, 7 and 8.
If other parts are electroformed at the same time as a
bar, it is very important to ensure that the parts do not
come into contact with one another. You should also
allow sufficient distance to the glass walls of the
beaker and to the anode.
Connect the anode to the anode contact.
