Tommy screws
Marking
Screw (Karpawel 46 Plus)
Cleaning / changing the brush rollers and transmission belts:

Put the tommy screws of the bottom plate in horizontal position.
For the Karpawel 46 Plus also remove the screw.

Hold the brush rollers on both ends, lift up with the bearings and
remove laterally out of the transmission belts.
■
Remove hear, fibre, threads etc., that are wrapped around the
brush roller with a knife or scissors. Clean thoroughly the brushes
of the rollers and the transmission belts (brush off resp. suck off).

After cleaning lay-in the transmission belts, insert the brush roller
with the bearing precisely. When inserting the bearing, make sure
that both sides show the same markings:
1 cam = new brush roller
8 grooves = brush roller is used by half
■
Put in place the bottom plate and lock. Make sure that the
retaining cams of the bottom plate are locked in the front of the
housing.
