e. When the
Real-time Data
window is initially displayed, the lower left
hand side box labelled
Start Update
is checked (Fig. 5.3), indicating
that the values displayed are real time.
The value of the parameters
will continue to update as long as the box is checked and the
window is open.
Once the box is unchecked, the last-updated values
will be held on the screen.
f. The last updated values will continue being displayed until the box is
checked again, at which point they will begin updating with current
values.
NOTE: While more than one
Real-time Data
window can be opened at one
time,
only a single window can be updated at a time
. All other
windows will have their
Start Update
buttons greyed out, indicating
that the values are no longer updating.
When more than one window is open,
the Windows toolbar (also
known as windows title bar) must be clicked for active update
.
Clicking in the window itself is not sufficient to automatically trigger
an update. Clicking on the title bar will automatically check the
start
update
box for that window. Always verify that the
start update
