support the 3U Mounting Kit at the rear of the rack while it is being secured to
the front. This will prevent it from falling while it is being installed.
2. From the front of the rack, lead the pegged end of the mounting bracket into the rack, sliding the pegs
into the mounting holes on the posts at the rear of the rack.
3. With the pegs inserted at the rear of the rack, slowly and carefully collapse the fully extended bracket
until the screw holes on the bracket are flush behind the mounting holes on the front rack posts.
4. Hold the bracket flush with the mounting holes on the rack stems at the U level it will be installed at.
5. With your free hand, pick up the washer plate. Ensure that the standoffs or chamfered holes are facing
out so the screws will sit flush.
6. Align the bracket flush with the rack post so the top screw hole is aligned with the holes on the rack
post and the mounting bracket.
7. Use the hand holding the mounting bracket to pinch all of parts together with the rack post between
them. This action will free your other hand.
8. Screw one of the M5 screws into the top mounting hole until it is finger tight. This will be enough to
support the mounting bracket which will allow you to release your hand.
9. Finish securing the washerplate to the front of the rack with another M5 screw inserted into the
bottom screw hole.
10. Use a level to ensure the mounting bracket is level. If it is not, retry mounting the bracket.
11. Once level, use a Phillips head screw driver to tighten the screws.
12. Move to the rear of the rack and install a flush washer plate to the rear of the rack. The screws should
be installed as shown.
13. Re-install the components that you removed from the faulty 3U mounting kit. For more information,
