KEYBOARD AND DISPLAY
7.3.1 Removing The Keyboard and Display Assembly
Initially, the keyboard and display can only be removed as a complete assembly.
1.
Open the top cover (Paragraph 7.2.1) and the printer plate assembly (Paragraph
7.4.1). Referring to Figure 28, unplug the two cable assemblies (keyboard data and
power) from connectors PLEXT1, and PLEXT2 on the control board.
2.
Remove the top inner cover (Paragraph 7.2.4) and lift the cover clear to gain access to
the keyboard and display assembly fixing screws.
3.
Remove the six keyboard and display assembly securing screws as indicated in Figure
11 and lift the assembly clear, threading the cable assemblies out through the slot on
the lower edge of the top cover.
