Remove the data cable from the print head assembly as described in
Paragraph 7.4.4.
(c) Once the data cable clamp bar (see Figure 22) is removed, the two head
assembly pivot pins will drop out from the print head /lower paper guide
and the print head assembly (print head, insulator film, head lift handle,
dowel pins, head pivots and head load pin) can be removed from the
printer chassis.

If there is any requirement to disassemble the print head assembly further
CAREFULLY carry out the following operations (see Figure 22):
i.
Remove the M3 screw and washer securing the head lift
handle. The print head together with the insulator film
can now be withdrawn from the extrusion. Note that the
insulation film must be replaced with a new item if it is
removed from the head.
ii.
As soon as the print head is removed, remove the two
mushroom shaped pivot pins (approximately 4mm long)
from their insertion holes in the rear face of the front of
the extrusion (the pins are not restrained and may have
already dropped out once the head has been removed).
