OBTAINING SPARE PARTS
It is suggested that a stock of spares should be held in order to simplify maintenance and reduce
the time that machines are out of order. Parts listings (in numerical and alphabetical order) are
given in Tables 16 & 17. However, if the required spare parts are not to hand, they can be
obtained as follows.
Firstly, identify the item from Section 9. Then, using the item number given on the drawing,
obtain the corresponding manufacturer's part number from the parts lists. The new component
may then be ordered from the following address: -

It is essential that your order quotes the following information: -
(1)
The model number. (See Paragraph 3.5)
(2)
The serial number shown on the inside of the machine;
(3)
The part numbers of the spares being ordered;
(4)
The number of parts or assemblies required.
N.B. None of the electronic components on the circuit boards are supplied separately to
anyone other than Level 3 personnel as defined in Paragraph 5.2. If a board should fail
it must be replaced and the defective board returned for repair.

RETURNING MACHINES OR ASSEMBLIES FOR REPAIR
When returning machines or assemblies for repair please give the precise nature of the fault as
this will greatly assist diagnosis, especially if the fault is intermittent or occurs only under
special conditions. To state merely that the machine is "faulty" is not normally sufficient, and
may result in increased repair charges because of the longer time taken to identify the exact
cause of the fault.
If only part of a machine is being returned please state the machine's model and serial numbers,
as this will help us to supply the correct replacement parts if this should be necessary.
