6. Click the Analyser tab.
7. Set the parameters to the values shown in the following table.

the value determined by the Waters Field Service Engineer during
installation of the instrument.

to start the nitrogen flow.
9. On the APPI+ Source tab, observe the Desolvation and Cone gas flows,
and confirm that they have stabilized and are correct.
10. Click Press for Operate, and confirm that the instrument status
indicator is green.
11. On the Tune window APPI+ Source Tab,
click Switch Lamp On, and
confirm that the Lamp readback is green.
12. Load the sample syringe with sample. In this example, naphthalene
(concentration 100 pg/µL) is used.
