Removing the Combined APPI/APCI Source
Removing the APCI probe and APPI lamp drive assembly
Note:
To complete this procedure, you must perform a pressure test on the
source, as described in the
Waters Source Pressure Test Unit Operator’s Guide
.
Required materials
•
Chemical-resistant, powder-free gloves
•
Needle-nose pliers
To remove the APCI probe and APPI lamp drive assembly from the
instrument
1. On the MassLynx Tune window, click Press for Standby, and confirm
that the instrument status indicator is red.
2. Wait for three minutes for the desolvation gas to cool the probe.
3. Click
to stop the nitrogen flow.
4. Remove the APCI probe from the source.
