3-4 Operating in APPI, APCI, and Dual APPI/APCI Modes
To confirm that the UV lamp is operating correctly
1. On the MassLynx Tune window, click Ion Mode > APPI+.

2. Click to start the nitrogen flow.
3. Click Press for Operate, and confirm that the instrument status
indicator is green.
4. Click Switch Lamp On, and confirm that the Lamp readback is green.
5. Click Switch Lamp Off, and confirm that the Lamp readback is red.
6. Click Press for Standby, and confirm that the instrument status
indicator is red.
